The VSS+dc can completely eliminate the need for batteries in UPS applications by providing sufficient ride-through for short duration outages or until a standby engine-generator can come on line. The VSS+dc is designed so that it can be integrated into most commercial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Adjustable Speed Drive (ASD) systems.
